Henry County’s special election results are in, and voters have made their voices heard on two local ballot questions.
According to the Henry County Election Authority, a total of 239 ballots were cast out of 701 registered voters, marking a 34.09% voter turnout. All four precincts reported results by Tuesday evening.
The Davis R-XII School District questioned proposal failed, with 67.86% (152 votes) against and 32.14% (72 votes) in favor. The measure, which required a simple majority to pass.
Meanwhile, the State Fair Community College Proposition A Operations Levy passed by a smaller electorate within its district boundaries. The proposition earned 61.54% (8 votes) in favor and 38.46% (5 votes) opposed, according to the county’s unofficial results.
Election officials reported all precincts at 100% reporting. The results will remain unofficial until certified by the Henry County Clerk’s Office later this week.
