
The Bates County Sheriff’s Office says it has been working alongside the United States Marshals Service, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office, and the City of Clinton for more than two years in an effort to locate and arrest Steven Andrew Bowman, who is wanted in three jurisdictions for multiple felony sex crimes involving a juvenile.
Authorities say Bowman has remained on the run since the initial report was filed by the victim and has continued to evade law enforcement despite extensive, coordinated search efforts.

Authorities: Bowman May Have Altered His Appearance
Law enforcement officials believe Bowman has likely changed his appearance during his time on the run. He may have gained or lost weight, altered his hairstyle, or grown or shaved facial hair. Agencies warn that he may look significantly different than previously released photos.
Cash Reward Offered
The U.S. Marshals Service is offering a cash reward for information leading to Bowman’s arrest. Anyone who knows his whereabouts is urged to contact the Marshals Service at the numbers listed on the official wanted flyer or reach out to local law enforcement immediately.
Authorities stress that all tips, no matter how small, could be critical in bringing Bowman into custody and ensuring justice for the victim.
