Vera Lorene Bauer, 89, of Windsor, Missouri died Saturday morning, November 22, 2025, at Windsor Healthcare.
She was born April 24, 1936, in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of James Martin Arnold and Vera (Duncan) Arnold. On February 3, 1961, she married Dail Joel Bauer Sr., in Kansas City, Kansas, and he preceded her in death on March 21, 1988.
Vera was an accomplished seamstress. She especially enjoyed sewing costumes for church programs and wedding dresses for family members. She was a member of Windsor Assembly and taught Sunday School. In her earlier years, she worked for Caseys and the Windsor Senior Center.
Survivors include 6 children, Joyce Todd, Barbara Blakey, Jeanie Duran (Donnie), Robert Bauer (Louetta), Pamela Fields, and John Bauer (Holly); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces. In addition to her husband Dail, she was preceded in death by 4 children, Andrew Todd, Darlene Bauer, and Victor Bauer, Dail Bauer Jr.; 2 brothers, James Arnold Jr. and William “Bill” Arnold; and a sister, Cora Lee Joyce.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with Rev. Regina Hix officiating. Burial will be in the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
