Meet Me On Main will hold their final Second Wednesday Shop and Stroll for the year on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Participating businesses include Jina’s Junque, Rural Roots, 3 Wishes, 4th Street Fika, Cork & Keg, and the A.C. Library will be open with a craft to make.

 

Annual Senior Citizen Lunch at Appleton City R II School in the East Gym on Monday, December 15 from noon to 1:00 p.m.  Come and enjoy a free lunch cooked and served by Appleton City R II staff and students.  Please RSVP to (660)476-2161 by 4:00 p.m. Friday, December 12 at.  If you have any questions, please call Bridget Mount at (660)476-2161.

 

The monthly Men’s Fellowship Breakfast at the Appleton City Church of God will be 7:00 a.m. on Saturday December 13.  All the men of the community are invited to join them for a time of great food and fellowship.   Brent Bland will have a short devotional.  

 

The “Spirit of Christmas” annual celebration at St. Ludger Church, Germantown, Missouri will be held 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 13.  St. Ludger Church is listed on the National Historic Register and this is a wonderful opportunity to view this historic building, beautifully decorated for Christmas.  A variety of local soloists and musicians will perform.  There will be a Christmas gift basket raffle and refreshments available.  Admission is free but donations are gratefully accepted.  All monies go to the St. Ludger Fund for Historic Preservation.

 

Hudson and Appleton City Parents As Teachers will be hosting Pictures With Santa on Saturday, December 13 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the Rockville Methodist Church

 

The Knights of Columbus will have their monthly pancake and sausage breakfast at the Knight’s Hall in Montrose on Sunday, December 14 from 8:30 – 10:00 a.m.  Treat your family to a hot breakfast you don’t have to cook or clean up.  A free will donation will be greatly appreciated

 

Bulldog Holiday Mart offers people a chance to shop locally during the ACHS and Butler Bears basketball games 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. Friday, December 12. Vendors include Jina’s Junque, Nelma’s Creatives, Red Steel Horse Designs, Stitched by Myah, Uddlerly Nuts, Rural Roots, Two Blondes Thrift, Mary Kay by Sandra Long, First Student, and more! There will be free admission to the HS basketball games that night.  It is also Pink Out Night, so raffle proceeds will go to Wayne Brown.

 

The Golden Apples will meet 5:00 p.m. Thursday, December 11 in the Farmhouse Kitchen banquet hall for food, fellowship and fun. The theme is Mexican, so bring out all those Mexican side dishes and desserts for a fun food experience.  Bingo will follow with at least one winner every round!

 

Growing In Grace is having kids fun day 3:00-6:00 p.m. December 20. They will have Christmas cookie decorating, hot chocolate, toy walk, Christmas scavenger hunt, Santa and food. Come be blessed!

 

The Montrose Cheerleaders are selling fresh Christmas Decor (wreaths, sprays, garland, mini trees, etc.). You may purchase online through December 15 at GiftItForward.com/fundraising using coupon code MONTROMO001 or contact a cheer member or Amy Wagner at 660-492-3370.  

 

Funds are needed for the backpack program. Holy Trinity Church in AC houses this project, which is funded by you, the community.  They now are sending 35 packs of food home with school kids weekly. The cost is $950 per month and they are reaching out for help. Donations are accepted at the church and may be made to: TUMC, with memo: Backpack. Thank You.
