CLINTON, Mo. — The Clinton City Council will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall, located at 105 E. Ohio Street.
Council members will begin the meeting with roll call, the Pledge of Allegiance, and approval or correction of the minutes from the December 16, 2025, City Council meeting.
There are no scheduled reports or second readings of previously read bills on the agenda. Committee discussions will include a Public Safety Committee report focused on two items from the Clinton Police Department: a request to declare certain items as surplus property and information regarding a traffic enforcement upgrade.
The Finance Committee is also expected to address several topics, including a discussion on electrical system improvements for the Downtown Square, a supplemental actuarial valuation of alternate LAGERS benefits, and a review of the city’s November 2025 monthly financial reports.
Under unfinished business, the council will consider Resolution No. 29-2025, which proposes establishing a transportation policy for the City of Clinton. The resolution is intended to implement recommendations from the Clinton Comprehensive Safety Action Plan and advance safety, accessibility, and coordinated transportation planning throughout the city.
The meeting will also include reports from the mayor and city administrator before adjournment. No new business items are listed on the agenda.

Comments are limited to three minutes per speaker and should be directed to the mayor or chairman.
