Area residents are invited to learn how to better prepare for severe weather during Subby’s 2026 Severe Weather Seminar, coming up Monday, March 9, at the Benson Center in Clinton.
The public event will be hosted by Subby’s Weather Talk and Henry County Emergency Management, and will take place at the Benson Center, located at 1008 East Sedalia Avenue in Clinton, Missouri.
The seminar begins at 6:30 p.m. and is open to the public.
Attendees will hear from Subby, who will cover severe weather safety and provide practical guidance on how to read and use weather radar software to better track storms in real time across west-central Missouri.
A special video presentation will also be featured from meteorologist Gary Lezak, showcasing the spring weather outlook for the region through Weather 20/20 and The LRC.
Organizers say the evening will also include special contests and free weather radio giveaways, giving families a chance to take home tools that can help keep them informed during severe weather events.
The seminar is designed to help residents better understand the risks associated with spring storms and learn how to stay prepared before severe weather strikes.
