COLUMBIA – The Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) Board of Directors met for its regularly scheduled board meeting on Feb. 11 at the MSHSAA Office. The Board addressed a range of topics impacting member schools across the state.

During the meeting, members of the MSHSAA staff gave a thorough report on this year’s Area Meetings. Over the course of the last few weeks, the MSHSAA staff traveled to all eight board districts to discuss important topics with the member schools. You can see the list of topics that were discussed here.

Following the staff’s report, the Board approved the Annual Questionnaire, a key tool used each year to gather input from member schools on important issues. This feedback helps the Board identify and implement changes that reflect the priorities of member schools. The questionnaire was distributed to member schools on Monday, Feb. 16, with responses due by Friday, Feb. 27.

“We look forward to engaging with our member schools, gathering their important perspectives through the questionnaire, and sharing their input with the Board as we develop the Annual Ballot,” MSHSAA Executive Director Dr. Rukstad said.

The Annual Ballot will be available to member schools starting Monday, April 13, and will remain open until Friday, April 24. The results of the Annual Ballot will be posted to the MSHSAA website later this spring.

In addition, the Board approved recommendations from the Tennis and Athletic Director Advisory Committees. Specific information on those board actions will be available here in the future.

The Board will meet again for a regularly scheduled meeting in March.
