
ADRIAN, Mo. — Authorities are investigating after multiple windows at the Adrian School building were intentionally shot out Saturday evening.
According to Adrian R-III School District Superintendent Don Lile, the damage occurred on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at approximately 8:20 p.m. Four windows on the west end of the school building were struck and broken.
The district is working closely with the Adrian Police Department as the investigation continues.
“If you have any information that could assist in the investigation, please contact the Adrian Police Department,” Lile said in a statement. “Please be assured that this matter is being taken very seriously. The safety and security of our students and staff remain our highest priority, and we are committed to identifying the individual or individuals responsible.”
In a related development, a multi-agency search warrant was served early this morning at a residence across from the school in Adrian. Authorities confirmed the scene has been secured and there is no ongoing threat to the school.
Law enforcement officials will remain on scene for an undetermined amount of time as the investigation continues. The Adrian Police Department is the lead agency handling the case.
