The Clinton Mid-Day Optimist Club is inviting the community to take part in its annual Redneck Bingo Fundraiser, set for Wednesday, March 26, at 6:00 p.m. at Primitive Olde Crow & Winery, located at 32 SE AA Highway in Clinton.
Each year, the Clinton Mid-Day Optimist Club raises funds to provide school supplies and backpacks for more than 750 children across Henry County. The supplies are distributed locally and help ensure students begin the school year equipped with essentials such as backpacks, notebooks, pencils, art supplies, hygiene items, and other classroom necessities.
Organizers say the fundraiser plays a critical role in supporting local families and schools by removing financial barriers that can prevent students from being fully prepared for learning.
The club is currently seeking community support in several forms, including monetary donations, bingo prizes, raffle baskets, and silent auction items. Donated items such as gift cards, themed baskets, services, or merchandise help boost participation and increase the fundraiser’s impact.
“Every contribution makes a difference,” organizers said. “The generosity of local businesses and residents helps ensure that every child, regardless of circumstance, starts the school year with confidence and the tools they need to succeed.”
Those interested in donating or seeking additional information can call or text 660-351-0359 or email mhillier@wcmcaa.org. Checks may be made payable to the Clinton Mid-Day Optimist Club.
The public is encouraged to attend the event and support the club’s ongoing mission to serve the youth of Henry County.
