The local Soil and Water Conservation District is inviting the public to attend an open house on Wednesday, March 5, beginning at 7:30 a.m., at its office located at 1306 N. 2nd Street in Clinton.
Community members, landowners, and area producers are encouraged to stop by, visit with district staff, and learn more about conservation programs and services available throughout the year. The open house provides an opportunity to ask questions, explore conservation resources, and connect with others who are passionate about protecting local soil and water resources.
As part of the morning’s events, the district will recognize outstanding conservation efforts in the community. At 9:00 a.m., Brad and Tammy Nadler will be presented with the 2026 Outstanding Conservation Farmer Award, honoring their commitment to responsible land stewardship and conservation practices.
District officials say the award highlights the importance of sustainable farming and the positive impact local producers have on soil health, water quality, and the future of agriculture in the region.
The public is encouraged to attend both the open house and the award presentation to show support for conservation efforts in the Clinton area.
