Parents and guardians in the Clinton School District are invited to attend an important presentation tonight focused on protecting children in today’s digital world.

The district will host the “Be Alert” online safety presentation this evening, Wednesday, March 4, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Clinton High School. The nationally recognized program is designed to help parents better understand the risks children face online and provide practical tools to help keep them safe.

School officials say the digital landscape continues to evolve, bringing new challenges for families as children spend more time connected through phones, social media, and online gaming. The presentation will give parents insight into potential online dangers while also offering strategies for navigating those challenges and having productive conversations with their children about internet safety.

The event is free and open to all parents and guardians in the community. Due to the sensitive nature of some topics covered during the presentation, children are not permitted to attend.

Several local organizations are partnering with the Clinton School District to bring the program to the community, including the Clinton Police Officer Association, Compass Health, the Month of the Child Committee, the Clinton Booster Club, and the Clinton Education Foundation.

District leaders say the goal of the evening is to empower families with knowledge and resources so they can better protect children online.

More information about the presentation is available through the Clinton School District. Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend tonight’s session at Clinton High School from 6 to 7:30 p.m..
