The Henry County 911 Emergency Communications center remained busy throughout February, answering thousands of calls from across the county while maintaining a rapid response time for emergencies.

According to statistics released by the center, dispatchers handled 714 emergency 911 calls during the month. In addition to emergency calls, the center processed 2,914 administrative or non-emergency calls, bringing the total number of calls for service to 3,726.

Despite the high call volume, the communications center reported an average call answer time of just three seconds, reflecting the quick response dispatchers provide when residents dial for help.

Emergency communications specialists at the Henry County 911 center coordinate responses for law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency medical services across the county. Officials say the numbers highlight both the steady demand for dispatch services and the importance of having trained professionals ready to respond around the clock.

Residents are reminded to dial 911 only for emergencies, while non-emergency matters should be directed to the appropriate local agency to help keep lines open for urgent situations.
