Drivers traveling northbound on Interstate 49 in Peculiar should plan for delays later this week as the Missouri Department of Transportation schedules lane closures for bridge work.
According to MoDOT, lane closures will take place on I-49 northbound over 195th Street, between North Cass Parkway and Peculiar Way, on Wednesday, March 25, and Thursday, March 26, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. All work is weather permitting.
Motorists are encouraged to slow down and remain alert while traveling through work zones. Officials note that not all work zones are the same, and some may involve short-term or temporary lane closures for repairs or debris removal.
