Sharon Finks

Sharon Finks, 78, of Windsor, Missouri, passed away Sunday afternoon, March 29, 2026, at her home in Windsor.

She was born February 13, 1948, in Clinton, Mo., the daughter of John Leonard Anderson and Stella Mae “Betty” (Elliott) Anderson. On December 9, 1967, she married Joseph Scott “Joe” Finks Jr. and they celebrated exactly 56 wonderful years of marriage. He preceded her in death on December 9, 2023.

Sharon graduated from Clinton High School. She and Joe lived in several states, including Missouri, Wyoming, Illinois, and West Virginia, during his time with the Peabody Coal Company and Catenary Coal Company. Sharon enjoyed being home with their daughters, Barbara, Janet and Sue, during their growing-up years. Later she enjoyed friendships made while taking aquatic classes. She was an avid reader and enjoyed planting flowers each Spring.

Survivors include 3 daughters, Barbara Kane (Scott), Edwardsville, Illinois, Janet Stine (David), Sparta, Ill., and Sue Finks, Sparta, Ill; 6 grandchildren, Devin Kane (Clay Bollinger), Mason Kane, Derek Stine, Cooper Stine, Dakota Pierce (Rayven Barrall), and Madilyn Pierce; a brother, Larry Anderson, Clinton, Mo.; 2 sisters, Linda Woolery, Sedalia, Mo., and Judith Anderson, Clinton, Mo.; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. In addition to her husband Joe, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Ray Woolery.

Graveside funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 6, 2026 at the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor. The family suggests contributions to the Lenora Blackmore Branch of the Henry County Library (checks payable to Henry County Library) in care of the funeral home.
