LOWRY CITY, Mo. — The Lowry City Board of Aldermen will meet in regular session Tuesday, April 21st at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall, with a full agenda that includes financial updates, new leadership transitions, and several community concerns.
During the meeting, aldermen are expected to review and approve minutes from the March 17th regular and closed sessions, along with the city’s latest bills list. Included in that list is an internal transfer to reimburse payroll expenses from the water and sewer fund to the general account—totaling more than $56,800 for 2024 and over $46,500 for 2025.
Financial reports for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026 show the city operating at 80.3 percent of projected income and 77.7 percent of budgeted expenses. Officials will also review two cemetery perpetual care certificates of deposit totaling $174,551.98, which are set to mature May 5th.
In old business, representatives from the Kaysinger Basin Regional Planning Commission will present a proposed Hazard Mitigation Resolution.
A major highlight of the meeting will be the swearing-in of newly elected officials. Greg BeVelle will take the oath of office as mayor, alongside East Ward Alderman Cecil Shehorn and West Ward Alderman Clark Patterson. The board will also elect a Mayor Pro-Tem.
Under new business, city leaders will discuss concerns about trash and debris at local businesses and properties, as well as consider a request for a tiny home placement at 401 East 7th Street.
Residents will have an opportunity to speak during the citizen input portion of the meeting, followed by department reports from City Hall, police, fire, and public works.
The meeting is open to the public.
