LOWRY CITY, Mo. — The City of Lowry City is currently accepting bids and proposals for two separate projects, including tree removal at the local cemetery and legal services for the city.

City officials are seeking bids to cut down and remove a large oak tree located in the Lowry City Cemetery, southwest of the pavilion. Bids must be submitted to City Hall no later than 3 p.m. on Monday, May 18. Submissions can be mailed, faxed, emailed, or delivered in person to City Hall. Officials note the city reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

In addition, the city has issued a request for qualifications (RFQ) for municipal legal services. Lowry City is looking for a qualified attorney or law firm to serve as city attorney, providing general counsel, ordinance drafting, and assistance with code enforcement and zoning matters.

Applicants must be licensed in Missouri, have experience in municipal law, and be familiar with the state’s Sunshine Law. Proposals for legal services are also due by 3 p.m. on May 18 and can be submitted through the same channels as the tree removal bids.

For more information on either opportunity, individuals can contact Lowry City Hall directly.
