William “Bill” Powell, 77, of Windsor, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at his home near Windsor.
He was born December 7, 1948 in Sedalia, Mo., the son of Leslie Alvis Powell and Ruth Lillian (Barlish) Powell. On February 14, 1986, he married Bonnie Louise (Pogue) Arthur in Hughesville, Mo., and she survives of the home.
Bill grew up in the Hughesville area and graduated from Northwest High School in 1966. He was a long-time farmer specializing in cattle and row crops. He also operated his own bulldozing company for a number of years. He was resourceful and could make or fix anything with few resources. He enjoyed his family and many friends.
In addition to his wife, Bonnie, survivors include 5 children, Matthew Powell (Brenda), Hughesville, Mo., Teresa Powell, Springfield, Mo., Susan Powell, Green Ridge, Mo., Larry Arthur (Tammy), Windsor, Mo., and Teena Stacye (Steven), Dunnegan, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Gary Powell (Sandra), Houstonia, Mo., and Glenn Powell (Karen), Hughesville, Mo.; a sister, Leslie Fairfax (Jim), Smithton, Mo., and many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Jeff Arthur, and a grandson, Corey Arthur.
Graveside funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at the High Point Cemetery, Hughesville, Mo.
