Ella Langley and Morgan Wallen have officially joined forces for their first duet, “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” a track that had already sparked major buzz before its release.

Written by Langley alongside Austin Goodloe and Joybeth Taylor, the song first surfaced during a surprise live performance from the duo at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on April 18. The performance—part of Wallen’s I’m Still The Problem Tour—drew more than 80,000 fans and marked the venue’s first concert in over three decades. Introducing the track onstage, Wallen shared, “Ella wrote this song and sent it me about a month ago and I loved it,” before the pair performed it together for the first time.

Though new to fans in full, the song had been quietly teased earlier. In the music video for Langley’s hit “Choosin’ Texas,” a final scene shows her driving off with Miranda Lambert, leaving behind a love interest played by Luke Grimes. A license plate reading “ICLYA” hinted at the track’s title—an Easter egg that fans later connected.

Wallen has since explained that the collaboration had been in the works for some time, noting his admiration for Langley and saying the song stood out immediately from its opening moments.

The single arrives during a major career moment for Langley. Her album Dandelion recently debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, while “Choosin’ Texas” continues its strong run on the charts. She’s set to remain on select dates of Wallen’s tour before launching her own sold-out headlining run, The Dandelion Tour, kicking off May 7 and running through August 15.
