HENRY COUNTY, Mo. — Drivers in Henry County should plan for daytime travel disruptions beginning Wednesday, April 30, as the Missouri Department of Transportation begins pavement work on Route O.
According to MoDOT, crews will be laying a new layer of asphalt along Route O between Route N and Missouri Route 7, northwest of Clinton. The work is scheduled to take place Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., continuing through May 14.
During those hours, Route O will be closed in sections where crews are actively working. While drivers will still have access to driveways and nearby entrances, they will not be able to travel through the work zone.
The roadway will reopen during nighttime hours and on weekends when crews are not on site.
MoDOT says there will be no official detours posted, so motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and find alternate routes. Signs and message boards will be in place to alert drivers approaching the work zones.
Drivers can also check current road conditions and closures using MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map. Officials note that weather or other scheduling issues could impact the timeline of the project.
