
HENRY COUNTY COMMISSION, HENRY COUNTY MISSOURI
TUESDAY JULY 2nd, 2024, 1st DAY OF THE JULY TERM
The Henry County Commission met pursuant to adjournment at the courthouse in Clinton, Missouri.
Those members present were: Rick Fosnow – North District Commissioner
Dale Lawler – South District Commissioner
Rick Watson – County Clerk
Absent: Jim Stone – Presiding Commissioner
At 9:00 a.m. Commissioner Lawler brought the meeting to order.
The agenda was approved as presented.
The minutes from the Thursday, June 27th, 2024 meeting were read; Commissioner Fosnow made a motion to approve the minutes. Commissioner Lawler seconded the motion, motion carried.
Expenditures from the following were approved to be paid:
Road and Bridge Law Enforcement Department Buildings and Grounds
Elections Prosecutor County Clerk
Tri County Child Support Emergency Management Inmate Security
Sheriff’s Civil Fund Assessor Law Enforcement Fund
General County Government Administrative Handling Cost Fund
An abstract of fees collected by the Recorder of Deeds, for the month of May, was reviewed and approved.
Dennis Bowers, Road and Bridge Supervisor, visited with the commission. He shared that an inspector from Great River and Associates has asked to leave the new bridge on SW701 Rd, in Bear Creek Township closed as the concrete isn’t cured enough yet.
He also shared that Eric Dameron, of Shawnee Township, has asked to have some roads mowed, but some are in the Shawnee Special Road District, NW 950 Rd. Dennis shared that he explained that the request to mow the special’s road would have to come from the special.
The group discussed the county’s mowing policy.
Dennis stated that he will have the agreement with the City of Clinton, to replace the Augusta Street bridge, ready next week.
