Missouri State Fair Equine Shows starts July 24th

The 4-H and FFA Horse Show will take place July 24 through July 28 in the Mathewson Exhibition Center, Donnelly Area and Coliseum. Visit the online Equine Schedule for show information, including start times and classes.

Additional equine events begin on Friday, Aug. 9, and continue through Sunday, Aug. 18 during the annual State Fair. This year’s shows and classes include the following:

Friday, Aug. 9

• 6 p.m. – Light Draft Mule Show, MFA Arena
• 7 p.m. – Draft Mule Show (In-Hand), Coliseum

Saturday, Aug. 10

• 8 a.m. – Open Mule Classes, Mathewson Exhibition Center
• 12:30 p.m. – Draft Mule, Light Draft Mule Hitches & Open Pleasure Classes, Mathewson Exhibition Center
• 6 p.m. – Grand & Reserve Champion Mule (In-Hand), Mathewson Exhibition Center
• 6 p.m. – Jumping Mules & Mule Game Classes, Mathewson Exhibition Center

Sunday, Aug. 11

• 8 a.m. – Jacks & Jennets (In-Hand) Show, MFA Arena
• Miniature Donkeys, immediately following Jacks & Jennets, MFA Arena

Wednesday Aug. 14

• 5 p.m. – Draft Horse Sled Pull, Mathewson Exhibition Center

Thursday, Aug. 15

• 11 a.m. – Draft Pony Show, Mathewson Exhibition Center
• 5 p.m. – Draft Horse Hitches, Mathewson Exhibition Center

Friday, Aug. 16

• 9 a.m. – Draft Pony Show, Mathewson Exhibition Center
• 5 p.m. – Draft Horse Hitches, Mathewson Exhibition Center

Saturday, Aug. 17

• 10 a.m. – Draft Horse Classes (Variety), Mathewson Exhibition Center
• 1 p.m. – Pony Pull, Mathewson Exhibition Center
• 5 p.m. – Draft Horse Hitches, Mathewson Exhibition Center

Sunday, Aug. 18

• 1 p.m. – Draft Horse Hitches, Mathewson Exhibition Center

Missouri State Fair draft horse shows are sponsored by BTC Bank. The World-Renowned Budweiser Clydesdales will open the draft horse hitches shows on Aug. 15-18.
