Missouri Highway Patrol Responds to Vehicle Accidents involving Area Residents

On Saturday, August 10th, at 11 pm, a pickup driven by Kaleb J Cook,26, of Butler was traveling southbound on K Hwy, in Henry County,  just North of SW 400 Rd, when  Cook failed to negotiate a curve and travelled off the roadway. The pickup drove into a concrete culvert and overturned coming to rest on its roof and facing northbound. Cook sustained minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene. Cook was wearing his seatbelt at the time, the pickup was totaled.

On Sunday, August 11th, at 11:35 am, in Cass County, a car driven by Brendan M McBride, 36, of Pleasant Hill, was traveling northbound on Mo 291 Hwy just south of  Home Farm Road, when the vehicle went off the right side of the road and struck a culvert. The vehicle was totaled. McBride had no injuries but a passenger,  Amanda J McBride,40, of Pleasant Hill, suffered moderate damage and was transported to Cass Regional Medical Center. Both occupants were wearing their seatbelts.

Also on Sunday, August 11th, at 10:51 pm, occurred in Benton County, when a vehicle was broke down on the mile long bridge on 7 Hwy. The driver, Anthony Eades,43, of Warsaw was checking the vehicle while a passenger, Eric Scraeder,39, of Sedalia, remained in the vehicle. A vehicle, 2007 Jeep Cherokee, driven by a 16 year old juvenile from Clinton was traveling northbound and struck the rear of the disabled vehicle. The Jeep then overturned. Everyone was wear safety devices at the time of the accident. A 16 year old passenger in the Jeep was transported to Golden Valley by Warsaw EMS with minor injuries.
