The first occurred on Wednesday, August 28th at 3:35 pm, both vehicles were traveling Northbound on 7 highway just North of Kirshner Hill when a Toyota Highlander driven by Garrett M Myers, 18, of Garden City failed to yield and struck the rear of a Kenworth driven by Ernest D Swan,25, of Archie. Myers was airlifted to Research medical Center in serious condition.
The second accident occurred in Benton County on Thursday, August 29th at 7:00 pm. A motorcycle driven by Barry G Markel,47, of Warsaw was traveling Northbound on Weaver Church Ave. South of Highway 83 when he struck a deer in the roadway. Markel was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield in Serious condition
