Clinton School District families,
As you might be aware, schools across Missouri and Kansas are dealing with threats of school violence on social media. Overnight, local law enforcement was made aware of a possible threat on social media. It was quickly determined that the message circulating on Snapchat was in no way related to schools in the Clinton School District.
Keeping staff and students safe is the district’s top priority, and to this end we work very closely with law enforcement to ensure the safety of all. Out of an abundance of caution, you will notice an increased police presence at our schools. We encourage you to have open conversations with your child about responsible social media use and the importance of reporting any suspicious behavior to an adult.
