On Tuesday, September 24th, at 11:16 am, a truck driven by Brandon J Knox, 18, of Hughesville was traveling northbound on O highway in a construction zone when he struck a MODOT worker, Jay L Bone,60, of Smithton. Bone was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle driven by Know was towed off. MODOT wants to remind you to please be aware when traveling through construction zones and when highway workers are present.
