Lola Irene Robbins

Lola Irene Robbins, 89, of Windsor, Missouri, died Thursday evening, October 24, 2024, at Kansas City Hospice House,

She was born July 19, 1935, in Calhoun, Mo., one of nine children, to Price Franklin Hager and Lola Christine (Ash) Hager. On January 12, 1963, she married John Melvin Robbins in Calhoun, Mo. He preceded her in death on October 20, 2020.

Lola worked at Unitog for 48 years. She was also an active farm wife, always busy cooking, cleaning, and helping Melvin with the cattle. She enjoyed horses and was a member of the El Dorado Saddle Club. She was also a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Windsor, and taught Sunday School for over 30 years.

Survivors include an honorary son, Wyatt Veach, Windsor, Mo.; 2 sisters, Ola Veach, Lola’s twin, Windsor, Mo., and Grace LaFavor, Dallas, Texas; and numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews and nieces, and great-great-nephews and nieces. In addition to her husband Melvin, she was preceded in death by 6 brothers and sisters, Hattie Hamilton, Elsa Rowles, Helen Finley, Howard “Bud” Hager, Darlene Baskins, and Jewell “Sonny” Hager.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with Rev. John Streit officiating. Burial will be in the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to the National Kidney Foundation in care of the funeral home.
