The Clinton City Council will hold a Regular Meeting on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at 6:00 pm at City Hall, 105 E. Ohio Street, Clinton, MO 64735.

  1. Approval or correction of the minutes of the City Council Meeting of October 15, 2024.

  2. 1. Community Development:
  3. Update on Fence at 2013 Epicurean Drive: Property owner has been issued notice to obtain building permit. Non-compliant fence parts have been removed.
  4. 2. Park & Rec:
  5. Declare as Surplus Property – 1998 Yamaha Big Bear 350 ATV, VIN JY44WUW00WA022998: Recommend approve as surplus and solicit bids for sale.
  6. Community Center Circle Drive Lights: Recommend remove lights and replace with bollards with reflective tape, and possibly solar lights.
  7. FY 24/25 Budget Requests: Reviewed list.
  8. Community Center Carpet: Recommend proceed with soliciting bids for all remaining areas included in budget requests.
  9. Pool Vacuum: Recommend purchase Dolphin Wave 140 for $6,499.
  10. 3. Street Department:
  11. Storage of equipment materials: Recommend contact Foster Construction for quote. NOTE: Previous bid price for $40,400 will be honored for a 50’x40’x14’ building.
  12. SS4A Steering Committee Recommendations: Reminder to provide names for appointment by Mayor.
  13. 4. Waste Water:
  14. Trojan UV: Recommend purchase parts for $17,316.15.
  15. Duke’s Root Control: Recommend accept quote of $11,600.86.

 

  1. East Digester: Mixer electrical cable being replaced.

  3. Ace Pipe: Ace Pipe doing prep work for CIPP lining
  4. Public Safety Committee Report: 
  5. 1. Replacement of Police car damaged in crash
  6. Finance Committee Report:
  7. 1. Employee health, dental and life insurance 
  8. 2. 2025 Employee Health Challenge
  9. 3. Request received from Council Person Mount to discuss Finance Committee responsibilities:
  10. When and what types of purchases should be presented to the Finance Committee for recommendations prior to being presented to full City Council, even if approved by another committee, their recommendation should include their referral to the Finance Committee.
  11. Recommend monthly finance reports be reviewed by the Finance Committee with recommendations for approval, corrections prior to being submitted to full City Council for action.

Speakers are respectfully asked to limit their comments to three (3) minutes or less. Speakers will be called on to speak during the appropriate portion of the meeting. Please address your comments to the Mayor/Chairman.
