
AC Masonic Lodge #412 will have a pancake breakfast 7:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Sunday, February 16 at the Masonic Hall, 219 E. 3rd St. Adults can have “all you can eat” for $10, $7 for children under 10 and kids 5 and under eat free. There will be raffles for cash prizes.
The Parents & Friends of the Appleton City FFA would like to invite you to their Annual Labor Auction on February 16 in the high school gym. The evening will begin with a buyers dinner at 5:00 p.m. served by Kickin’ Chicken, with the live auction starting at 6:00 p.m. As part of this event, they will also have a Remington 870 Super Mag 12 Gauge for raffle and a silent auction, which will be setup along the south wall of the high school gym beginning at 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. that night
Optimist Club summer sports sign ups will be open February 10-21. There will be no late signups. They will be at Bulldogs Nutrition on February 16 from 11:00-3:00 to help anyone who has questions about the online registration. Golden Apples Senior Club will not meet Thursday February 13 due to weather conditions. Pot roast dinner has been moved to next Thursday.
Zion Lutheran School in Prairie City’s annual Chili supper will be dine in or carry out this year. The event will take place 5:00 -8:00 p.m. February 22. The online Facebook Auction begins Wednesday, February 19, the silent auction will be 5:00 – 7:30 February 22 and the live auction at 7:00 p.m. Raffle items and a country store will be available. The AC Spring City Wide Garage Sale dates will be April 25 and 26. Information regarding permits will be posted at a later date.

Grace Christian Academy will have their 5th annual hog roast dinner with silent and live auctions fundraiser Saturday, March 8 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the Lowry City Civic Center, 4th & Cleveland in Lowry City. The hog roast dinner for $10 includes meat, sides, dessert and drink. Children 4-12 years eat for $6, 3 and under are free. Carry out is available. Silent auction from 4:00 – 6:30 and live auction starts at 7:00 p.m. Shuttles depart every 15 minutes from Landmark Tickets are available at the school or at the door.
The 7th annual Farm to Fork Summit and Expo, hosted by New Growth, will be held 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the Nevada Community Center in Nevada, Missouri. The event connects Midwest farmers, food producers, buyers, and advocates to strengthen the local food supply chain. Sessions will cover diverse topics from marketing to financing such as selling through regional food hubs to using AI for small businesses and participants will enjoy a locally sourced lunch. Tickets are $45 online ($50 at the door), with discounts available for beginning farmers with less than 10 years’ experience.
