Hildred M. Heany (update)

Hildred Maxine Heany, 89, of Windsor, Missouri, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025, peacefully at her home in Windsor.

She was born June 5, 1935, in Mount Judea, Arkansas, the daughter of Dewey Pleas Lane and Mabel Laura (Holt) Lane. On June 30, 1956, she married James Martin “Jim” Heany in Kansas City, Missouri, and preceded her in death on February 6, 2015.

She graduated from Mount Judea High School with All-State honors in basketball. She worked for Kats Drugstore in Kansas City for several years before going to work at Rival in Kansas City, later transferring to the Rival plant in Clinton. Following the plant closing, she worked at Parmelee Industries in Windsor as an assembly manager until her retirement. She appreciated a clean and tidy home and loved spending time with her family. Hildred was tough, but was also incredibly loving and nurturing. She played a major roll in raising multiple generations of Heany children, as well as many of their friends too. She lived a very long and fulfilling life, making an impact on so many people’s lives along the way. While she will be greatly missed by all of us, rest assured, she is happily reunited with her husband Jim once again.

Survivors include 2 sons, Randy Heany, Windsor, Mo., and Ronnie Heany (Teresa), Pagosa Springs, Colorado; 6 grandsons, Jason Heany (Jessica), Jeremy Heany, Jevon Heany (Christie), Eric Heany (Blair), Jaxen Heany, and Landon Heany; 10 great-grandchildren, Jaydnn, Jazzmyn, Octavia and Maddox Heany; Reece and Aubrie Heany; Greyson and Kenzlie Heany; and Braxton and Ava Heany; 2 brothers, Cecil Lane and Glen Lane; 2 sisters, Mildred Sneed and Rhilda Rickets; and many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces. In addition to her husband Jim, she was preceded in death by a brother Vetal Lane and a brother in infancy.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday evening, March 14, 2025, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor.  The family suggests contributions to WHS Booster Club to benefit youth sports in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be left online at www.hadleyfuneralhome.com.
