Jerry McAllister, 84, of Leeton, Missouri, died Thursday afternoon, March 27, 2025, at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Mo.
He as born June 24, 1940, near Windsor, Mo., the son of Roy Edward McAllister and Anna Lorraine (Swisher) McAllister. On December 9, 1960, he married Shirley Jean McCormack and she survives of the home.
Jerry graduated from Leeton High School in 1958. He began a 45-year career at the Bank of Leeton, retiring as President. He was active in city government in Leeton, serving in various capacities over the years, including city clerk. He loved to go fishing and take antiquing trips, but going to ballgames for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him the most joy. He was a charter member of the Leeton Lion’s Club and a member of the First Baptist Church of Leeton.
In addition to his wife Shirley, survivors include 3 children, Robyn Seba (Harold), Cleveland, Mo., Randy McAllister, Leeton, Mo., and Bruce McAllister (Terri), Chilhowee, Mo.; 5 grandchildren, Blake Seba (Sami), Sydney Kurz (Brian), Roy McAllister (Miranda), Gavin McAllister (Phoebe), and Whitney Sullins (Johnathon); 4 great-grandchildren, Reece Kurz, Brooklynn McAllister, River McAllister, and Jaylee Sullins; 3 sisters, Carol Smith, Clinton, Mo.; Mary Varner, Lee’s Summit, Mo.; and Judy Jett, Warrensburg, Mo.; and many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 3 sisters, Sheryl Brooks, Karen Rainen, and Barbara Reilly.
