Wow, what a storm system that came in over Easter Weekend. We were fortunate to have the severe weather behave, but we witnessed training of thunderstorms that ended up dumping 4-6″ of rainfall on average here in West Central Missouri just on Sunday. This is on top of of the 2-3″ that has already fallen prior on Saturday. Unfortunately we have a series of small disturbances that are poised to move through our area this week beginning on Tuesday night through Sunday. An additional 1-2″ is possible by Sunday night. The Boot Hill of Missouri was declared a State of Emergency last week due to the flooding rains and farmers loosing their seed that was in the ground. They are just waiting for it to dry out so they can replant. Depending on what this week holds, farmers in our area may be dealing with replanting as well. It is never good to get that much rainfall in 1 day. We are blessed to the rain but let’s hope is comes in more frequently, but less in amounts. I will leave you with this weeks Ag Meteogram from our exclusive in-house model. Have a great Monday everyone.
