Missouri State Highway Patrol Troopers are investigating a fatality crash. A vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic colliding with another vehicle. One vehicle traveled off the bridge and into Truman Lake. One of the drivers was pronounced deceased on scene. Recovery efforts are underway for the other driver.
The Mile Long Bridge on MO-7 hwy over Truman Lake will be reduced to one lane of travel and then eventually completely closed to allow for the recovery of a vehicle that traveled off the bridge and into the lake as the result of a crash. Avoid the area.
