According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, two people from Clinton have died after a head-on crash over Truman Lake.
Friday night at 8:45PM the crash occurred on highway 7 and the mile long bridge west of Warsaw, as a 2012 Dodge Avenger driven by a 44-year-old woman, crossed into the path of a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by a 26-year-old man. Both vehicles collided head on, then the Tahoe struck the bridge and went into the water. The Tahoe was towing a trailer and boat.
The mile long bridge was reduced to one lane most of the day Saturday as crews helped pull the Tahoe out of the lake. Crew said the SUV sank to around 50 feet into the water.
