In response to recent severe weather, the American Red Cross has opened an emergency shelter at the First Baptist Church of Warsaw, located at 305 W. Jefferson Street.

The shelter is providing critical resources for individuals and families affected by the storms, including hot meals, access to showers, cots, and bedding. Red Cross officials have confirmed that trained volunteers are on site to assist those in need and help residents begin the recovery process.

In addition to immediate shelter needs, those impacted by the disaster can also apply for financial assistance directly at the shelter. Red Cross representatives are available to help with the application process.

Residents seeking shelter or support are encouraged to come to the church or contact local emergency management for more information. The Red Cross emphasized that anyone affected by the storms is welcome, and no one will be turned away.
