Kenny Harms (update)

Kenny Harms, 70, of Windsor, Missouri, died late Sunday evening, June 22, 2025, at his home near Windsor.

He was born August 19, 1954, in Windsor, Mo., the son of Leroy Edward “Pete” Harms and Lula Bell (Burkhart) Harms. On June 5, 1982, he married Dee Ann Clark at the First Baptist Church in Clinton and they had three children, Jonathan, Kelsi, and Kendra.

Kenny graduated from Lincoln High School in 1973. He was a proud family farm owner and operator for decades. Starting with dairy cows, he kept a herd of cattle along with a farrow to finish hog operation with slaughter hogs for many years. He also farmed between 600-1000 acres annually of row crops consisting of corn, soybeans and wheat. In addition to his family farm, there were also years he worked full time at WRCA and enjoyed finishing out his working years at Shrader Farms before retiring on his family farm.

Kenny worked hard and loved to play hard too. He loved taking his family out for lake days on his pontoon boat. He enjoyed family vacations to Branson where he’d enjoy stacking two or three music shows into one day. He was a member of the Elks Lodge where he enjoyed listening to music and never missed an opportunity to dance. He loved a good tractor pull and considered the state fair his annual vacation in his later years. He also enjoyed time at his pond, watching his grandchildren swim and fish.

Survivors include three children, Jonathan Harms (Ashley), Carl Junction, Mo., Kelsi Zaccarello (Brad Biddle), Carterville, Mo., and Kendra Eierman (Jeremy), Warsaw, Mo.; 5 grandchildren, Tearnie, Maddie, Trevor, Riley, and Jentzen; a sister, Carolyn Schweitzer (Kevin), Windsor, Mo.; 2 nephews, Clint Schweitzer, Colby Schweitzer (Hannah); a niece, Megan Black (Devin); and several cousins.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 27, 2025, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with Pastor Gordon Hibbard officiating. Burial will be in the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established to help with funeral expenses and contributions can be made in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be left online at www.hadleyfuneralhome.com.
