The Davis R-12 School District announced in a letter to parents and guardians that it will continue offering regular classes at its school building located at 6714 SW Hwy T in Clinton for the upcoming school year. The district assured families it will maintain a full staff of certified teachers, provide after-school care, and offer bus transportation for enrolled students.

On July 15, 2025, the Davis R-12 Board of Education approved a policy to pay tuition for students who reside within the Davis R-12 School District but choose to attend a neighboring public school district. Eligible bordering districts include Sherwood, Clinton, Lakeland, Montrose, and Ballard. However, Sherwood will only accept tuition students who are entering high school from K–8 districts.

Families who opt to send their children to another district will be responsible for their own transportation. To receive tuition coverage, families must notify Davis R-12 by Friday, August 1, 2025, prior to enrolling or re-enrolling students in a different district. Enrolled students are expected to complete a full semester at the new school.

For families planning to transfer districts mid-year for the second semester, Davis R-12 must be notified by December 1, 2025.

Questions about the new tuition policy or general inquiries should be directed to the Davis R-12 office at (660) 885-2629.
