The 2025 Missouri State Fair will celebrate Missouri Department of Conservation Day on Friday, August 8, offering fairgoers a full slate of fun, education, and entertainment for all ages in Sedalia.
Guests are invited to explore the many interactive exhibits and demonstrations hosted by the Missouri Department of Conservation, showcasing Missouri’s rich natural resources and conservation efforts. From hands-on activities to wildlife education, this special day highlights the importance of protecting and enjoying the state’s outdoors.
Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy free entertainment, including the always-popular Anastasini Circus, live blacksmith demonstrations, music on the Budweiser Stage, and Hedrick’s Racing Pigs Show, proudly sponsored by Jim’s Tire Service, Inc. Younger fairgoers will find plenty to love on the Kids Stage, featuring fun shows and a crowd-favorite water balloon toss contest, sponsored by Your Local McDonald’s.
Livestock lovers will be treated to a full schedule of shows featuring beef cattle, lambs, barrows, poultry, and draft mules. Competitive exhibits will also be in full swing, with events in floriculture, home economics foods, horseshoe pitching, and the fan-favorite Show-Me State Tailgate Throwdown Barbecue Contest, sponsored by Anheuser-Busch.
Don’t miss the Let’s Talk Livestock presentation on beef cattle, sponsored by Tractor Supply Co., and the patriotic Military Flag Retreat Ceremony honoring Charles Brazeale of Paris, Missouri, at 5:30 p.m. in front of the Historic Administration Building.
As the sun sets, the State Fair Grandstand, presented by CFM Insurance, comes alive with a can’t-miss concert featuring Blues Traveler & Gin Blossoms with special guests Spin Doctors, beginning at 7 p.m. The evening will cap off with a dazzling fireworks display sponsored by Missouri S&T and a spectacular drone show sponsored by VISITMO.COM.
