Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) is pleased to welcome Arthur Evensen, DPM, Podiatrist.
As a podiatrist, Evensen specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of foot and ankle conditions, including wound care, diabetic foot management and lower extremity surgery. He is highly experienced in managing complex cases and focuses on advanced wound care, limb salvage and reconstructive procedures to protect mobility and support overall health.
Evensen earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Midwestern University Arizona College of Podiatric Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Utah Valley University. He completed his Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency with Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle credential (PMSR-RRA) at the Southern Arizona Veterans Affairs Health Care System, where he served as Chief Resident.
Evensen is Board Certified with the American Board of Wound Management and has multiple peer-reviewed publications on advanced wound care and limb salvage. He currently serves as an editorial advisor to Wound Care Today and is a Share the Science speaker for the Save the Cord Foundation, helping to educate the medical community on regenerative medicine and innovative care solutions.
Evensen was recently honored by the Veteran Hall of Fame Society with the Outstanding VA Employee award, becoming the first podiatrist ever to receive this national recognition.
In addition to his clinical work, Evensen is an active Board of Trustee member for Altruismo, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing healthcare access to medically underserved communities. He is also an active member of several service organizations, including Rotary, Optimist International, Elks, Moose, Free Masons, Special Olympics and Scouting America.
