Susan R. Munro, age 66, was born in Kansas City, Missouri on February 4, 1959 the daughter of Raymond E. and Betty P. (Taylor) Denyer.  She departed this life June 24, 2025 at her friend, Kim’s home in rural Appleton City, Missouri.

Growing up, Susan loved going swimming and painting.  Through her teens, she also enjoyed loud music, cruising in her Chevy Chevelle and further seriously explored her artistic talent in painting.  She painted a picture of “Sitting Bull” and hung it in her grandmother’s bathroom.  Life took her away from painting until she picked up the brush again in the late 70’s and early 80’s.  The joy inside her can be seen in her paintings and photographs she took.

Susan was blessed with three children: Michelle, Ray and Crystal, that filled her life with love.

She worked cleaning buildings and homes until she built her own business called Susie Q’s Cleaning.  Susan later married Gerald Munro and they settled down in the little town of Montrose, Missouri, which she loved very much.  She found joy in hanging out with friends, eating home-cooked meals, watching birds and animals.  Most importantly she loved talking to her children, and spending time with them.  Susan later worked at Casey’s in Montrose for almost 10 years before her husband fell ill so she devoted her time caring for him until he required professional care.

In 2024 Susan was diagnosed with cancer and she fought diligently against the disease.  She found Jesus only weeks before going to meet him.  Now she is making beautiful art in heaven.

Susan was preceded in death by her father Raymond Denyer, husband Jerry Munro, son Ray Jewell, sister Karen Pham and brother Silas Denyer.  Survivors include her daughters, Michelle (Jewell) Hernandez and Crystal Sue; mother Betty Denyer, brother Thomas Denyer, her grandchildren: Chase Liebe, Hayley Jewell, Alexis Jewell and Adeline Farris.
