A large-scale, multi-agency operation in Johnson County led to the clearing of 31 active warrants last week.

The coordinated sweep involved law enforcement officers from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, Warrensburg Police Department, Holden Police Department, Knob Noster Police Department, Leeton Police Department, the Missouri State Highway Patrol, and the University of Central Missouri Department of Public Safety.

Johnson County E-911 assisted the operation by assigning personnel to monitor radio traffic and ensure clear communication among all agencies involved.

In addition to the law enforcement presence, community support also played a role. Mike and Elaine Moore with Operation BBQ Relief provided food for all participants in the sweep, a gesture authorities said was greatly appreciated.

Officials say the successful warrant sweep highlights the importance of interagency cooperation in maintaining public safety and order.
