Fatal Crash Claims Life of Clinton Man in Benton County

A 23-year-old man from Clinton was killed Monday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash west of the MO-E junction on Missouri Route C.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 1:46 p.m. on September 15, 2025. Troopers reported that a 2003 Dodge Ram, driven by the Clinton man, crossed the center line multiple times before the driver overcorrected. The pickup then traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a fence, and overturned several times before coming to a stop.

The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene by Benton County Coroner Weston Miller. His body was transported from the scene by the Benton County Coroner’s Office. Next of kin have been notified.

The Dodge Ram was totaled and towed by Tolliver’s Towing. Authorities noted the driver did not have insurance.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol identified the incident as Troop A’s 52nd fatal crash of 2025, resulting in the 57th roadway fatality in their region this year. The Benton County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.
