The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce that Sergeant Jason Baker will be moving into the Investigative Unit as our newest Detective. We are excited to welcome his leadership and experience into this role, as his background and dedication to service will make him a strong addition to the unit.

Detective Baker brings a unique career journey to law enforcement. After more than fifteen years in the retail industry, he pursued his lifelong goal of serving in law enforcement. With the support of his wife and children, he graduated from the University of Central Missouri Police Academy in 2020.

Baker gained early experience at the Pettis County Jail before joining the Henry County Sheriff’s Office as a road patrol deputy. In this role, he worked a wide range of cases—including narcotics, homicides, child abuse, and burglaries—giving him a strong foundation in investigative work and community policing. His promotion to Sergeant of Road Patrol in 2022 further demonstrated his ability to mentor deputies and strengthen community trust.

Now, as he transitions to the Investigative Unit, Detective Baker brings years of hands-on experience, leadership, and a proven commitment to protecting and serving Henry County. We are confident that his skills and dedication will greatly enhance our investigative team.

Please join us in congratulating Detective Jason Baker on this well-deserved appointment.
