Fairgoers can expect a patriotic celebration at the 2026 Missouri State Fair as officials announced the theme, “Show-Me Stars & Stripes.” The theme honors the 250th anniversary of the United States of America and highlights Missouri’s role in celebrating this historic milestone.
The 2026 Fair, set for August 13–23 in Sedalia, will feature a wide variety of patriotic attractions, entertainment, and special programming tied to the America 250 celebration. Organizers say the theme supports the nationwide America Waves initiative, encouraging Americans to wave their flags and show pride in the country’s history and contributions.
“This year’s Fair will be a showcase of Missouri pride and American spirit,” officials said in the announcement. “We can’t wait to see families, friends, and neighbors come together waving their flags high to celebrate our great nation and our great state.”
The Missouri State Fair draws hundreds of thousands of visitors each year and is known for its mix of agriculture, entertainment, food, and family fun. The 2026 edition promises to build on that tradition with a star-spangled twist.
