It’s been a spirited week in Clinton as the community has come together to celebrate Homecoming, and all the excitement is set to culminate today with a full lineup of traditions and festivities.

The day begins with the Homecoming Parade at 1:30 p.m., stepping off from the corner of Bodine and 8th Streets. Students, community groups, and local businesses will join in with floats, marching bands, and school pride filling the streets.

In the evening, Clinton Middle School will host the Alumni Tailgate, beginning at 5:00 p.m. with school tours for those who RSVP’d. Alumni from across the years are expected to reconnect, share memories, and rally together before the big game.

At 7:00 p.m., the Clinton Cardinals will take the field at Cardinal Stadium in front of what’s expected to be a packed crowd of students, alumni, and fans. The Cardinals will look to cap off the Homecoming celebration with a strong showing under the Friday night lights as they host the 0-4, Oak Grove Panthers.

One of the most cherished traditions, the Coronation Ceremony, will take place during halftime of the game. The Homecoming Court will be honored, and a new King and Queen will be crowned, marking the highlight of the week’s festivities.

From spirited parades to alumni gatherings and the excitement of football, Clinton’s Homecoming promises to bring the community together once again to celebrate tradition, pride, and Cardinal spirit.
