Kyle Grandstaff, 35, of Clinton, Missouri, was sentenced on September 30, 2025 to a total of thirty (30) years in prison for a statutory rape and statutory sodomy.

The events of the case occurred in 2022 and involved separate victims under the age of twelve.

The defendant entered a plea of guilty in May 2025 and sentencing was set out in order for a required assessment report to be done by Missouri Probation and Parole.

Henry County Prosecuting Attorney LaChrisha Gray, in a sentencing hearing on September 30, 2025, requested that the court sentence the defendant to a controlling sentence of thirty years, fifteen years on each count and consecutive to each other. The defense requested the defendant be sentenced to ten years on each count.

Henry County Circuit Judge, M. Brandon Baker sentenced the defendant to fifteen years on one count of statutory rape in the first degree and fifteen years on one count of statutory sodomy in the first degree with the sentences to run consecutively. Therefore, the defendant’s controlling sentence is thirty (30) years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.

According to Prosecutor Gray, the defendant will not be eligible for parole until he has served at least eighty-five percent of that sentence. Further consequence of this finding of guilt is lifetime registration and supervision as a sex offender.
