Henry County Emergency Management recently traveled to the beautiful new Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop A Headquarters in Lee’s Summit to participate in the Integrated Warning Team (IWT) meeting.
The event brought together emergency managers, meteorologists, and first responders from across the region to discuss weather-related topics and preparedness plans for 2026. Key discussions included upcoming changes to weather warning criteria and strategies to improve information sharing among agencies and the public.
Henry County Emergency Management officials say meetings like the IWT are an important opportunity to collaborate with partners and ensure local communities receive timely and accurate alerts when severe weather strikes.
