As the Missouri high school football season charges into Week 11, several local teams from across west-central Missouri remain in the hunt for district titles and postseason glory.

Lincoln (5-3) will look to keep its playoff hopes alive as the Cardinals face Archie (8-1) — a tough opponent riding momentum from a strong regular season.

In Class 1 action, Liberal (4-5) squares off with Jasper (4-5) in a rematch between evenly matched rivals, while Drexel (7-3) takes on Appleton City (7-2) in one of the week’s most anticipated small-school battles.

Cole Camp (6-3) travels to face a talented Russellville (7-2) squad, while Windsor (8-1) — one of the area’s most dominant teams this year — looks to continue its run against Sherwood (3-7).

In Class 2, Adrian (6-3) hosts Polo (5-5), while Butler (6-4) makes the trip south to take on perennial powerhouse Lamar (6-3).

The Holden Eagles (8-2), coming off an impressive regular season, will meet Stockton (7-3) in another tough playoff matchup.

Meanwhile, the Clinton Cardinals (8-2) — under head coach Jake Vencill — continue their historic turnaround season as they battle Boonville (7-2) for a shot at advancing deeper into the district playoffs.

Rounding out the area action, Nevada (7-3) hosts Pleasant Hill (3-7), and Warrensburg (6-3) looks to move forward when they take on Raytown South (2-8).

With several area teams still alive, west-central Missouri football fans have plenty to cheer for as postseason action heats up and the road to the state championship continues.
