Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) is proud to announce that Meredith Levine, MD, FAAFP, and Krista Yeggy, DO, FACOOG, have successfully earned the Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) credential, a distinguished recognition awarded by The Menopause Society.
The MSCP credential recognizes healthcare professionals who have demonstrated advanced knowledge, clinical expertise and a strong commitment to the care of women during the menopause transition and beyond. Achieving this certification signifies that a clinician has met rigorous standards in evidence-based menopause care and remains dedicated to supporting women’s long-term health and well-being.
Founded in 1989, The Menopause Society (formerly the North American Menopause Society) is the leading nonprofit organization devoted to improving the health and quality of life of women at midlife and beyond. Through education, research and advocacy, the Society empowers clinicians with the latest science-based information on menopause and healthy aging. Earning the MSCP designation places Dr. Levine and Dr. Yeggy among a select group of healthcare providers nationwide recognized for excellence in women’s midlife health.
Women in the menopause transition may experience a wide range of symptoms and health concerns, including hot flashes, sleep disturbances, mood changes, bone density loss and increased risk for heart disease. With the MSCP credential, Dr. Levine and Dr. Yeggy are uniquely equipped to provide comprehensive, individualized care, including advanced counseling, personalized treatment plans, hormone and non-hormone therapy options and preventive health strategies, helping women navigate this life stage with confidence and support. This specialized expertise is particularly valuable in rural communities, where access to menopause-focused care may be limited.
“This credential is especially meaningful for our communities,” said Taylor Elwell, Executive Director of Clinic Services at GVMH. “Women in rural areas often have fewer specialized healthcare resources nearby. By having two MSCP-certified physicians on our team, our patients gain access to the latest, evidence-based care for menopause and midlife health right here in Clinton. It ensures they receive the guidance, treatment and support they need during this important stage of life.”
