The Clinton School District #124 encourages qualified persons interested in running for a position on the school board to file as a candidate for the Tuesday, April 7, 2026,Municipal Election.
The District will accept filings at Central Office located at 701 S. 8th Street, Clinton, MO 64735.
Filing will begin at 8:00am on Tuesday, December 9th, and continue during the District’s regular business hours, which are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. The last day to file is on Tuesday, December 30th from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Filing will not occur on days that the Administration Building is closed due to inclement weather or on holidays when Central Office is closed which are as follows:
Wednesday, December 24th
Thursday, December 25th
Friday, December 26th
Candidates may call (660) 885-2237 or email cmeier@clintoncardinals.org should you have any questions regarding filing. The names of qualified candidates shall be placed on the ballot in order of filing.
There are (3) three-year term Board Member positions available. Candidates must be citizens of the United States and resident tax payers of the district, who have resided in Missouri for one year preceding their election or appointment.
Candidates must also be at least 24 years of age; be current on state and local taxes; have not been found guilty to a felony under Missouri or federal law; are not registered or required to register as a sex offender; and have filed required campaign documents for all previous campaigns, if any.
All board members initially elected or appointed in this succeeding election shall successfully complete 18.5 hours of orientation and training within their first 12 months of service as required in Section 162.203 RSMo.
