Registered voters in Henry County can expect to receive a new voter verification card in the mail within the next few days as part of a countywide canvass conducted by the Henry County Voter Registration Office.

The mailing is being completed in accordance with Missouri Revised Statutes §§ 115.163, 115.719, and 115.193, which require local election authorities to review voter registration records prior to an election. The canvass is being conducted ahead of the August Primary Election.

Officials say this year’s voter verification card will look different than those sent in the past. The updated card includes additional information and features QR codes that link voters to helpful local and state election resources, including a QR code for the 2026 Election Calendar.

Voters are encouraged to carefully review their name and address upon receiving the card. If all information is correct, the card should be kept for personal records. If any information is incorrect or no longer valid, voters should turn the card over and follow the instructions provided to update their registration.

Election officials also remind voters that Missouri’s Voter Photo ID law, approved by voters in November 2016, requires individuals to present a valid photo identification when voting in person on Election Day.

Anyone who does not receive a voter verification card within the next few weeks and believes they are registered to vote is encouraged to contact the Henry County Voter Registration Office at 660-885-7206 for assistance.
